The Language of Love

For awhile now, Ella has been able to "kiss" Brett and me. Of course, she has to be in the right mood to do it. When she kisses, she makes a "mmm" sound and smashes her face to yours with her lips closed. But oh is it precious!

In the past week, she has made two other advances in her expressions of love. While we were in Santa Clarita, she finally learned how to blow kisses. It is so cute! Then just the other night, she started signing love when I said "I love you." I was shocked. Some people really teach their kids sign language. Personally, I've never been good at it. But on her Kindermusik CD, there is a song that goes "Love somebody, yes I do. Love somebody, yes I do. Love somebody, yes I do. Love somebody and it's you, you, you." In Kindermusik class, we learned the sign for love and you're supposed to sign it each time you hear the word in the song. I've done that on and off while we listen to the music. I must have done it enough times because she has learned. Of course, she probably won't do it when I want her to show other people. But, I was pretty excited to see her do it...at least that one night.
